In your opinion do we live in a police state? (Do we live in a society where our every move is monitored.)? Why or why not?

In my opinion we do not live in a police state because my every move is not tracked that I know of. I say this because I can probably do some things that cops will never find out. My every move is not monitored because I have no records of criminal activity so no one would think or make me a suspect.
